Telegram OSINT — User and channel analysis

Telegram OSINT starts from a simple @username or t.me link and returns a structured profile of that entity: whether it is a channel, a group, a bot or a user account, how many subscribers or members it has, how many are online, whether it is verified, its description/bio and its profile photo. Everything comes from Telegram's public t.me preview page, with no API key and no login, and it automatically tells real entities apart from non-existent usernames.

What it does

  • Detects the entity type: channel, group, bot or user.
  • Subscriber/member counts and online users (channels and groups).
  • Official verification badge, description/bio and profile photo.
  • Accepts @username, a channel name or a full t.me link.
  • No API key and no login: only public t.me data.

How to use it

  1. 1Enter a @username, a channel name or a t.me link.
  2. 2Run the analysis: it queries Telegram's public preview page.
  3. 3Review the type, members, verification, description and photo.

Use cases

  • Verify the authenticity and size of a channel or group before trusting it.
  • Investigate bots and accounts tied to a campaign or an actor.
  • Enrich a person or brand investigation with their Telegram presence.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key or a Telegram account?

No. Telegram OSINT reads the public t.me preview page, so it needs no API key and no login.

Can it see private messages or members?

No. It only shows public information: type, member/subscriber count, verification, description and photo. It cannot access private content or member lists.

Does it tell a real user from a non-existent one?

Yes. When the @username does not exist or has no public presence, Telegram returns a generic page that the tool detects and flags as non-existent.
